Gina glanced over at Karen who was still buzzing with energy in spite of having walked all over the zoo. It must have been the cotton candy and soda that had her so amped up.

“Why don’t we check out the Farmer’s Market,” Jasmine said.

Gina frowned slightly. Even though Karen was still wide awake and enthusiastic about any time spent with Jasmine, Gina didn’t think there was anything at a farmer’s market that would hold the little girl’s attention for very long.

Jasmine must have noticed her expression and began to explain. “I want to pick up something special to make for dinner tonight.” Both Gina and Karen looked at her with interest. “I heard someone around here likes pork chops!” she announced.
